Macro’s graduate program is a three month in-house training programme designed to give graduates the skills required to develop, simulate and commission control systems for the Food and Beverage industry.

The program first teaches the foundations of automation, training graduates in Macro’s procedures and standards for PLC and HMI development; how to read and write grafcet functional description; and how to understand Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs).

Graduates are given a training project to complete utilising the skills they have gained. Each graduate will develop an automation solution from a set of functional descriptions and P&IDs.  This solution will be put through a real-world factory acceptance test with one of our process engineers.

Once the three-month training programme is complete graduates will be integrated into a large project where they are mentored by senior automation engineers.
